Cantaloupe melon turns out to be one of the fruits with the highest concentration of vitamins and minerals: in fact, it is rich in vitamins A, B6 and C, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sodium, magnesium and iron. Possessing a high carotenoid content, it is able to protect the health of the skin by counteracting premature aging. Composed mainly of water, it is also extremely diuretic, a valuable ally for water retention and the kidneys. <\/p>\n
To prepare a tasty Sicilian Cantaloupe Melon Granita, all you will have to do is peel, dice and remove the seeds from a melon. Next, with water and sugar you will have to prepare a syrup. Once cooled, in a metal bowl if possible, combine the blended melon flesh with the syrup, mix and place in the freezer for a couple of hours. Five minutes before serving, take out the bowl and stir vigorously to destroy the ice crystals and smooth the slush. There you have it-a very fresh after-meal ready to enjoy. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
