The dragon fruit or pitaya is a tropical fruit that we are not yet used to seeing in Italy and arouses much curiosity. According to an ancient Chinese legend it is a real dragon egg. The Pitaya marketed on our site grows by our partner producers in the province of Ragusa. It presents a fuchsia or whitish flesh with small black seeds. The flavor is mild and reminiscent of the flavor of pears. The texture is similar to that of the Kiwi. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, fiber, protein, fatty acids and antioxidants. It is best eaten fresh and cut in half with a teaspoon, perhaps topped with a few drops of lemon.

PLEASE NOTE
The weight of each individual fruit can vary from about 350 to 450g
The dragon fruit pulp will be shipped in mixed colours (fuchsia or whitish).
