The pizzuta, considered the queen of the mènnule, is the chosen almond of the highest quality confectionery and pastry. The shell is hard and smooth, with small pores and a pointed end. The seed is large, shaped like a wide, flat ellipse of a leathery red color, with a wrinkled surface, an elegant characteristic dot and appreciable uniformity among the seeds.
